Alejandro Lipschütz
(Riga, Letonia, 1883 - Santiago de Chile, Chile, 1979). Médico y antropólogo chileno de origen letón. Llegó a Chile en 1926, contratado por la Universidad de Concepción. Publicó numerosos trabajos en el campo de la medicina, especialmente en la investigación sobre el cáncer. En 1874 recibió el "Premio Casa de las Américas" por su ensayo Marx y Lenin en la América Latina y los problemas indigenistas.
